Revealed by John Lasseter at D23 Expo's Animation panel, a new untitled original film is in the works! Helm by Monsters University director, Dan Scanlon, this film has a personal connection with his personal life. At a very young age Dan Scalon lost his father, the feeling of not knowing who is father was or even being able to hear his voice led to his idea for the film. The story was shortly described as an adventure through a fantasy world to make one last memory with their long lost father. As magic used to be prominent throughout the world but due to it's difficulty, most magic has died. Not much is known about the main characters, but currently they're elf teenagers. A lot of concept art was shown revealing no humans in this world just like many other successful Disney films such as Zootopia. The art shows tons of different creatures such as Goblins, Ogres, and Unicorns digging through trash. As well with towns populated with mushroom houses and talking trees. Well this may be a fantasy world Pixar is having fun spoofing real world trends such as In-n-Out "To-and-Fro Burgers". Currently the film has no release date but other Pixar production include Coco, Incredibles 2, and Toy Story 4 with two untitled release dates of March 13, June 19 2020.
