Great news for Disney television fans, two new original shows are coming to Disney Channel in 2019! Amphibia: Created by Matt Braly (Gravity Falls director) is about a self-centered 13-year-old named Anne Boonchuy. In the story she is magically transported to a mythical world of Amphibia. A rural marshland full of frog-like people. In here is where she finds a young joyful frog named Spirg, someone who helps her transform into a hero, and uncover the first true friendship of her life. The Owl House: Created by Dana Terrace (Gravity Falls, DuckTales) is a horror-comedy that follows Luz, a teenage girl who stumbles upon a portal which leads her into the Demon Realm. There is where she goes on to befriend a rebellious witch, Eda, along with her cute tiny warrior, King. Despite the fact that Luz has no powers herself, she still peruses her dream of becoming a witch by serving as Eda's apprentice in the Owl House. “Amphibia and The Owl House are both set in wildly imaginative worlds and share hallmarks of great Disney storytelling, including fantastical elements and memorable characters,” said Eric Coleman, SVP original programming and general manager of Disney Television Animation.
